What a shock yesterday's night...
Everything I wanted to do with the nexus framework, has been already done, in a brilliant way by thoses guys: sencha

They're providing the powerful framework, I've been so long looking for. The ultimate SDK for tablets and mobile dev !!!

Just have a look at their demos, I'm speechless.

Needless to say I'm heading toward sencha touch from right now on...

NexusLayout is entering now pre 0.0.11 stage. That is to say, some basic demos have already been coded (audio and video), and I'm currently working on the touchpad part (how to handle canvas/touchevent to allow basic drawing).

Core engine has been upgraded via the NSPage class, which permits now scripting inside an Nexus Page.

Next class to be introduced, will be the NSDialog class for modal conversations. This is due, with touchpad demo for 0.0.11. I'll post a version timeline in the next few days, to show product roadmap.

As told before, Nexus Layout is a collaborative and educationnal project. I'm currently looking for designers and/or css specialist to contribute to the overall projet look and feel. First contributions would consist in themes enhancements and polishing, especially typographic part...

I'm facing a lot of changes to release 0.0.11, which will be my next milestone. I'm actually evaluating Matteo Spinelli's iScroll and David Aurelio's touchScroll. I also upgraded CORE engine to mooTools 1.3, to get fireEvents work with touch gesture.

I hope changing the scrolling engine will fix some annoying bugs, and let me concentrate on gesture handling within the framework. Actually, I have very few ideas on how to proceed :D !!! Saying that, I have to change the widget model to permit widget instantiation within a content/page, a lot of work to do !

• acquired the domain name "nexusstudio.net"
• changed this blog hosting (overblog) to my new provider (1and1)
• rewrote the content to match my new blog engine (pluXML)
